People

Many people have come into my life.

Some people who helped me become the person I am today have come for just a moment in time to say, “you can do better.”

Some of the people I lean on have been there half my life. I still lean on them today to say, “what's next” or “it’s time to come out from behind the curtain.”

There are people in my life who have seen me at my most vulnerable. Those people have seemed to be the ones who say, “what can I do to make you smile” or “just be ok.”

There are people in my life who are my allies for change.

Life can sometimes be like a flipbook, which serves as a reminder of how far I’ve come in my life and how far I have yet to go. The people who have chosen to stay in my life have helped me write the many chapters to becoming the person I am today.

There are people who I remember fondly because they were put in my life for a reason. Maybe they needed to meet someone like me to change their lives as well.
