Fear
There is a lot to fear in today’s society.
Fear can be overwhelming. Trust me, I understand because I’ve always had a fear of my support not being there when I need it.
You might be asking yourself, “what should I do when the fear gets to me?”
I share my fear with trusted friends or fellow advocates. Once I talk about it, I exhale and say, “what’s next?” You can't fight everything because it gets to be too much. Fear can be a distraction tactic to stop you from doing what you know is right.
I find it helpful to take a deep breath and say, “I am ok in this moment.”
